Arben
Sheet Metal Limited was formed in 1968 for the purpose of producing high quality sheet metal pressings of panels and brackets
and similar components, and it was formed by B Duncan and R Moody, who have managed and directed the Company from inception.
The Company's first location was in Southall, and since that time one of its first customers, namely GEC, has continued as
a customer with a requirement for precision sheet metal components developing and increasing in the intervening years for
several GEC companies.
During
1970-71, following the first year of trading, the Company obtained its first substantial order which required new equipment
and new premises for its proper completion within the contract period. Adequate new premises were immediately located in Sunbury
on Thames and the entire Company operation was swiftly relocated, and equipment installed to allow completion within the ten
week contract period. Following a period of steady Company growth, Arben Sheet Metal Limited was relocated again in 1972 to
the present site in the Slough Industrial Estate.
